is available to Kindergarten - 8th grade boys and girls and runs from August-November. This program partners with the YCHS football coaches in training young athletes and developing a unified program.

YCTC Flag Registration

Our goal is to provide an organized, educational football program for players in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We offer equal opportunity for our athletes to learn fundamental football skills including sportsmanship, integrity, and teamwork. It is our responsibility to provide a competitive yet safe environment to foster our players' appreciation of the game and develop life skills that extend beyond the game of football.

Community Care Pricing

Our Community Care Pricing option offers a lower registration rate in exchange for a volunteer commitment. By selecting this option, you agree to volunteer at least four times during the season. Volunteer roles include team support, field setup, concessions, and more—opportunities will be shared after registration.

If volunteering isn’t possible for your family this season, you may choose the alternate pricing tier. This higher rate helps us cover the cost of filling essential volunteer roles.

K-2nd grade FLAG FOOTBALL:

We’re currently working with the schools that participate in our 3rd/4th and 5th/6th tackle programs to create a youth flag football league. While we weren’t able to launch it in time for this season, we’re committed to making it happen for upcoming seasons. In the meantime, flag football will continue to be offered through CPRD. If you're interested, please register on our SportsEngine website so we have your contact information, and then follow the link provided there to complete your registration on the CPRD website.

Registration Period: June 27, 2025 – August 18, 2025

Game Location: Home games will be held Saturday mornings on the Newberg HighSchool turf field

Program Cost: $116

Team Formation:

Teams will be comprised of approximately 10 players.
Games will follow a 5 vs. 5 format.
A coaches' meeting is scheduled for September 3 at 6:00 PM at the CPRD District Office (125 S Elliot Avenue).
Coaches will notify parents of team placements via email by September 5. If you have not received an email by September 6, please contact Nicole Lewelling at nlewelling@cprdnewberg.org.

Coaching Opportunities

We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by coaching Football or assisting teams as a Team Volunteer We hope you will consider helping our program by coaching or volunteering. What are the participation requirements?

All fees must be paid or payment plan agreed upon with the YCTC Office before your athlete can participate. A sports physical is required for all athletes.
